There are lots of things I just don't need to know about total strangers or my closest friends for that matter. While strangers may lack that kind of discretion, my friends seem to have better judgment. I hope I exercise similar restraint. I don't find temporary solace in the other people's woes, as some people do. My life is not better because someone else's life is worse.
